Very Durable

This is a super cute dog toy that does a great job of keeping my three dogs entertained. It’s very well-made and it’s super sturdy and durable. This does have a pretty loud squeaker, but that’s a good thing because it keeps the dogs entertained even if it makes a lot of noise. It’s perfectly size for medium and large dogs and hold up very well to aggressive chewing. Great value for the money. Highly recommend!

The dogs LOVE fighting over this frog--not sure how to get tadpole without ripping open stomach!

The dogs met me at front door when the bell rang--they know that every delivered package means a good chance they'll be getting something new--and today it was the frog! The photos show the chase and the fight that ensued after I pulled the frog out of the box and threw him to the dogs. Little Dog caught him first and Big Dog chased him around the house for about 15 minutes til he caught up to him on the couch and they played tug of war for a while. The frog is definitely durable and he does indeed have a squeeker inside; the dogs made sure of that. The frog is also bigger than I expected and seems pretty well made. Only thing I haven't figured out is how they get the tadpole out of the inside of the frog--his stomach seems to be sewn very securely and it looks like I would need to take a razor blade to the stitches to open up the frog's belly. The dogs like him so much that I hate to risk ruining him, so I think I'll let the dogs chew on him for a few months and see if they manage to open up his tummy and find the tadpole. If not, I don't care--I'm just glad they like the toy and that it seems sturdy enough for the two of them to enjoy the battle.

Toy in a toy!

This toy made me laugh. I was thinking I'd take a look at the little tadpole inside to do my review, but you can't get to it. Your dog HAS to tear the frog apart to get to the tadpole! Seriously! The frog itself is cute enough, with nice long legs that are perfect for a pup that likes to play tug--as my lab does. Crinkle sounding parts, as well as a squeaker inside. And I can hardly wait for my pup to eviserate the toy and find another toy inside! This is a great idea, and so much better than just one squeaker awaiting her bored toy chewing attentions.
