This birthday dog is very cute and will be great to use as a decoration for the dog's birthday. It appears exactly as it is on the website. The material is very soft and the details on the design are well thought out. However, with that being said, I do not see how anyone would let their dog use this as a toy. The batteries go on the bottom of the toy and the compartment for the batteries is not hidden, but exposed. Therefore, a dog can break off the plastic piece and get to the batteries (both choking hazards). If the battery compartment was more hidden, I would feel a little more comfortable giving this to the dog to play with, but since it is not, I will use as a party decoration. So, with the exception of the battery compartment, I am very satisfied with this.
